Introduction

I took my first photograph of a chickadee at the age of six with my dad’s old film Canon. My mom taught me about nature, birds, and books. She passed away unexpectedly before my freshman year at college. I attended Fordham University, where I studied creative writing and photography; however, my grief clouded my aspirations. When I graduated, I abandoned the arts, but I believe that what we are destined for will always find us.

And so, many years later, it did. During the pandemic, I purchased my first mirrorless camera and began taking pictures to pass the time. I also started writing again. I rediscovered my passion for the arts during this time and knew I would never let it go again.

In 2021, I spent a few days photographing Arctic Foxes in Iceland. I fell in love with the experience and haven’t looked back since. Since then, I have attended an Arctic Fox Photography Expedition in a remote part of Iceland that forever changed me as a person and photographer. I love capturing landscapes with my drone, learning new skills, and pushing my limits. Photography has taught me to slow down, appreciate each moment for what it is, and that patience and consistency pay off.

My passion for the craft lies in capturing the beauty of nature and landscapes while honoring my mother’s legacy. Nature photography is more than an art; it is a dedication to our home, planet Earth. I aspire to tell a story through my images, hoping to deepen our appreciation for nature and connection to all living things. I hope my images speak to you.
